Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Titrate Testing ("Titrate," "we," "us," "our") operates titratetesting.com, a platform that arranges independent third-party analytical testing of research chemical samples submitted by vendors and buyers ("you," "the customer"). Titrate is a verification and testing-coordination service. Titrate is not a laboratory, does not manufacture, sell, or distribute research chemicals, and does not take physical possession of any sample at any point — samples ship directly from you to the testing laboratory.

2. Research use only — no medical or human use

All products and substances referenced or tested through this Service are intended strictly for laboratory research use only. They are not intended for human or animal consumption, diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of any disease, and are not approved by the FDA or any regulatory body for such use. By using this Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are purchasing testing services solely in connection with research chemicals intended for legitimate research purposes;
• You will not use, sell, or represent any tested substance for human or animal consumption, medical use, or any purpose prohibited by applicable law;
• You are lawfully permitted to possess, handle, and ship the substance in question under the laws of your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of the testing laboratory;
• You are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

Titrate makes no representation regarding the legality of any substance in any jurisdiction. That determination is solely your responsibility.

3. What the Service does and does not do

Titrate coordinates independent laboratory testing of a single sample you submit and makes the resulting Certificate of Analysis ("COA") available to you and, where applicable, publicly through the vendor directory and COA lookup tool.

Single-sample scope. Any COA or test result applies only to the specific physical sample submitted for that order. It is not a representation, warranty, or guarantee about any other unit, vial, or batch — including other units from the same production run, the same vendor, or the same listing. Batch variability is a known and expected phenomenon in this market, and a passing result on one sample does not guarantee that any other sample is identical in composition, purity, or safety.

No guarantee of outcome. Titrate does not guarantee that any sample will pass testing, that turnaround times will be met exactly, or that a given laboratory's capabilities remain constant over time. Laboratory capacity, methodology, and turnaround are subject to change without notice.

Vendor-blind model. Titrate does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the identity, business practices, legitimacy, or claims of any vendor listed in the public directory. Publication of a COA reflects only that a specific sample was tested and the stated results — it is not an endorsement of the vendor or the product line as a whole.

Proof of purchase may be requested. Titrate may, at its discretion, request proof of purchase (such as a receipt or order confirmation) from a submitter before testing, publishing, or crediting a result to a specific vendor name, and may delay or decline to publish a result until such proof is provided.

4. How public vendor ratings are generated, and how to dispute one

Vendor ratings shown on the public Vendor Directory ("Verified," "Mixed Record," or "Flagged") are generated automatically from the laboratory test data associated with that vendor name — they are a factual, mechanical summary of pass/flag counts, not an editorial judgment or opinion about the vendor's character, honesty, or overall business. Titrate does not independently investigate a vendor's business practices beyond the specific samples tested.

If you are a vendor and believe a published result is inaccurate, was recorded under the wrong vendor name, or no longer reflects current sourcing, contact [email protected] with supporting detail. Titrate will review disputes in good faith and correct genuine errors, but will not remove or alter accurate test results.

5. Payment and refunds

Full payment for the selected testing tier is collected at the time of order, before any sample ships. Payment is processed by Stripe; Titrate does not store your full payment card details. All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice for future orders.

Refunds. You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before you ship your sample. Once a sample has shipped, orders are final and non-refundable, except at Titrate's sole discretion or as required by law.

6. Shipping and sample handling

You ship your sample directly to the laboratory designated by Titrate; Titrate never receives, handles, or takes possession of any physical sample at any point. You are solely responsible for:

• Packaging the sample safely and in compliance with all applicable shipping regulations (including carrier rules on hazardous or restricted materials);
• Labeling the sample with the lot/batch number provided to you, so it can be matched correctly at the laboratory;
• Complying with all applicable customs, import/export, and carrier regulations;
• Submitting accurate tracking information through the Service once the sample has shipped.

Titrate is not responsible for samples lost, damaged, delayed, or misdirected in transit, or for any consequence of improper packaging or labeling by you.

7. Results and COAs

Once the laboratory completes testing, Titrate makes the COA available to you via a hosted link. For standard vendor-blind batch testing, results are published automatically to the public vendor directory and COA lookup tool as part of Titrate's track-record model — only vendor- and batch-level test data is published, never your personal or customer identifying information.

8. No warranty

The Service, the website, and all test results are provided "as is" and "as available." Titrate disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Titrate's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service, regardless of the theory of liability, is limited to the amount you actually paid to Titrate for the specific order giving rise to the claim. Titrate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost business, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Titrate harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or regulation, or your shipment or handling of any substance.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), on an individual basis only. You and Titrate each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action.

12. Termination

Titrate may refuse service, cancel an order, or terminate access to the Service at its discretion, including where fraud, abuse, or a violation of these Terms is suspected.

13. Changes to these Terms

Titrate may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
